In Friday’s Game of the Week, a highly-anticipated matchup in Class A saw No. 1 Millard South roll past No. 6 Papio, 56-21.
While Millard South flexed its muscles, the team right behind them in the rankings, No. 2 Westside, did the same thing, crushing Fremont 63-6. Also in Class A, Omaha Central pulled off a 34-30 win over Creighton Prep and Elkhorn beat Elkhorn North in a 17-14 thriller.
Speaking of thrillers, Roncalli squeaked out a 23-21 victory over Gross Catholic in Class B action, while in Class C1, Ashland-Greenwood picked up a missive road win over Boys Town in a ranked matchup by the same score — 23-21.
Across the river in Iowa, defending Class 4A state champion Lewis Central celebrated homecoming and remained unbeaten with a 56-6 win over crosstown rival Thomas Jefferson.
