In Friday’s Game of the Week, Westside continued to flex its muscles as the top team in Nebraska Class A with a 34-12 win over Millard West.
It was a night of shutouts elsewhere, with Creighton Prep beating Lincoln Southeast 24-0, Buena Vista downing Omaha Northwest 24-0, Elkhorn South trouncing Lincoln North Star 38-0, and Omaha Westview staying undefeated with a 49-0 win over Omaha Burke.
Across the river in Council Bluffs, two-time defending state champion Lewis Central got all it could handle against ADM in Iowa Class 4A action, squeaking out a 30-27 victory in overtime.
