OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) - The Harris campaign shared more details Thursday about vice presidential candidate Tim Walz’s second visit to the “blue dot” this weekend.

The Nebraska native will be making a stop in Omaha on Saturday to attend an afternoon rally. Now the governor of Minnesota, Walz was born in West Point, Neb.; raised in Valentine; attended Chadron State College; and taught in Alliance.

Walz is expected to arrive in Omaha after a campaign stop in Chicago. He will then address a local campaign reception before heading to the rally, set to start at 5 p.m.

Details about the location have not yet been publicly released, but doors will open at 2:30 p.m. There’s an online sign-up for the event to receive more details directly.

This will be Walz’s second trip to the Cornhusker state this election season. In August, his first visit drew a crowd both inside and outside of La Vista’s Astro Theater.

The Trump campaign is also having an event in Omaha on Saturday. RFK Jr. and Tulsi Gabbard will be at a “Reclaim America Tour” event downtown at Hilton Omaha that evening.
