OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) - Park Omaha has opened a parking garage in the Blackstone District, containing nearly 400 spaces.

The garage will be a part of the Thirty Seven West Farnam development, bringing 385 public parking spots to the area.

The garage is currently open, and the rate is $2.50 per hour of parking, maxing out at $25 per day. Monthly parking options will be available to the public in 2025.

“Opening the new garage now is part of an effort to make more parking available in the thriving Blackstone District,” Hannah Adeponu, Omaha Parking & Mobility manager said. “Next year, we will make longer-term parking available on monthly contracts.”

A ceremony will be held on Oct. 21 at 2 p.m., with Omaha Mayor Jean Stothert and Councilman Danny Begley, in addition to Blackstone business owners and developers, to make remarks.
