OPPD mutual aid crew arrives in West Virginia
Workers helping to restore power in aftermath of Hurricane Helene

BECKLEY, W. Va. (WOWT) - The Omaha Public Power District sent and update regarding the mutual aid crew they sent out Saturday.
In their statement, OPPD says the crew made it into Beckley, W.Va., after staying overnight in Mount Vernon, Va.
OPPD says they are primarily supporting Appalachian Power’s restoration efforts in remote and rural areas. The region was hit hard by storms in the deadly aftermath of Hurricane Helene.
