Rusty’s First Alert Forecast - Wonderful weather Friday before Saturday heat
OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) - We’re starting in the 50s as you head out Friday and we should be able to warm to near 80 degrees making for a comfortable end to the week.

You won’t have much of a breeze to deal with but it will be out of the east at 5-15 mph. This will lead to a great night of high school football all across the area.

This leads us into a weekend that starts with a 6 First Alert Weather Day Saturday. I expect us to briefly spike into the mid 90s for a high. That will threaten daily and monthly record across the area. You can find all the details associated with the heat and it’s impact to the Husker game here.

A cold front will move in pretty quickly Saturday evening helping to slice 20 degrees off the high temp for Sunday. Northwest wind gusts up to 30 mph will help keep it cooler.

Overall the dry and warm pattern is expect to continue through all of next week with highs in the 70s and 80s. We will make a run at 90 degrees yet again by the end of next week.
