Jade’s First Alert Forecast - Pleasant evening ahead of hot & windy Saturday

OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) - It doesn’t get much better than this: sunny and near 75° this afternoon with a light breeze and low humidity! This will lead to a great night of high school football all across the area. Temperatures will fall into the upper 60s once the sun goes down.

Big changes are on the way to start off the weekend with a 6 First Alert Weather Day Saturday. Temperatures will spike into the mid 90s for a high during the afternoon, then slowly cool as a cold front moves through in the evening. Highs will threaten daily and monthly records across the area. Thankfully, a cold front will move in pretty quickly Saturday evening providing relief from the heat and slice 20 degrees off the high for Sunday. The end of the weekend will be sunny and a tad breezy with a northwest wind gusting up to 30 mph .

The dry and warm pattern will continue through all of next week with highs in the 70s and 80s. We will make a run at 90 degrees yet again by the end of next week. No rain chances in sight.
