OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) - We end the week with another day that doesn’t quite feel like October. Warm, dry weather continues for your Friday with highs reaching the mid-80s this afternoon with hazy skies due to wildfire smoke. This evening will be comfortable with increasing clouds. Great weather for high school football games or any outdoor activities! A southwest wind will switch to a north wind as the clouds roll in, leading to a gradual cooling trend throughout the weekend.

6 Hour Forecast(WOWT)

Saturday will be a few degrees cooler than Friday with highs in the low 80s. Still way above average for this time of year! By Sunday, highs will drop into the mid 60s, much closer to normal October temperatures. A northwest wind on Sunday will become breezy, bringing much cooler air by Monday morning.

Weekend Forecast(WOWT)

The cooldown continues into a pair of 6 First Alert Weather Days we have in the forecast for Monday and Tuesday morning. The first widespread frost for many is likely by Monday with a light freeze possible on Tuesday.

6 First Alert Days(WOWT)

Temperatures will struggle to warm each afternoon with highs in the lower 60s. This will be the first time we’ll end up below average in the afternoon since October 1st. This won’t last for long, though.

Highs will return to the 70s by midweek with 80s on the way by the end of the week. A cold front will move in Friday night bringing the first noticeable rain chance we’ve seen in a while. More fall-like temperatures in the 60s will be in place heading into the following week.
