Brock Purdy hosts hundreds at youth football camp in Ames

AMES, Iowa (KCRG) - Brock Purdy is still a superstar in Ames.
The San Francisco 49ers quarterback returned to central Iowa for his first youth football camp - he was joined by over 600 kids.
“It’s surreal. I was playing college football here a couple years ago, and then to come back and not only see Iowa State jerseys, but now the NFL jerseys, it just shows they follow me, and they still have my back.”
“For them to grow up and see me playing on the field, that could be them one day. And so for me, I get like, choked up when I see it. It’s special.”
