Creighton guard Johnathan Lawson enters transfer portal
OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) - Creighton guard Johnathan Lawson has entered the transfer portal, a team spokesman confirmed to WOWT 6 News.
The sophomore guard played a total of 59 minutes across 17 games for the Bluejays this season. Lawson transferred from Memphis to Creighton in May of last year. He averaged 3.4 points per game in 29 contests for the Tigers, making 41.3% of his three-point attempts in 2022-23 after redshirting his freshman year.
Lawson, a Memphis native, was a four-star recruit out of Houston High School in 2021.
He is the second Bluejay to transfer since Friday’s Sweet 16 loss to Tennessee. Freshman forward Brock Vice entered the portal Sunday. Vice, a high school teammate of Lawson and Mason Miller, redshirted this season.
