Saturday morning event at Edwards Nissan in Council Bluffs
COUNCIL BLUFFS, Iowa (WOWT) - Nebraska fans will get the opportunity to celebrate the season opener with some Husker legends on Saturday morning just across the Missouri River.
Edwards Nissan in Council Bluffs is hosting Nebraska’s three Heisman Trophy winners at an event from 9 a.m. to noon at the dealership, located on 32nd Avenue west of Ninth Street.
Visitors can drop by to meet Johnny Rodgers, Mike Rozier, and Eric Crouch — and get a photo with the actual Heisman Trophy that will be awarded later this year.
“The Heisman Trophy represents the pinnacle of college football, and we’re excited to offer our commujnity the chance to meet these outstanding players and capture a moment with the trophy itself,” Edwards General Manager Chuck Norman said in a news release. “Plus, it’s a great way to kick off what is going to be a comebak year for the Huskers!”
