Katie Copple is an award-winning journalist and is a familiar face around Siouxland and is excited to be part of the talented team at KTIV News 4 as a News 4 TODAY anchor and Multimedia Journalist.
Born and raised in Dakota City, Nebraska, Katie has called Siouxland home her entire life and is excited to continue bringing the news to her hometown community. Growing up, she joined her family in watching KTIV for news, weather and sports every morning and evening, even waiting for the Morning Club Quiz to come on before leaving for elementary school!
Katie graduated from Morningside College in 2015 with a degree in Mass Communications and joined KCAU-TV as a morning photographer and production assistant. In 2016, she joined Siouxland News and KMEG-TV where she worked for over 7 years as a news producer, reporter, and evening anchor.
News isn’t her only passion, Katie has spent several years on the radio airwaves, spending a year with the Moose in the Morning Show on Q102 as the morning co-host while also working full-time in television.
A self-proclaimed coffee connoisseur, Katie can usually be found with a coffee in hand. She’s also an avid reader and loves giving book recommendations to her coworkers! Katie loves to travel, one of her favorite places is taking in the latest show on Broadway in NYC.
She's a cat mom to Pumpkin and Spice, a pair of rescued siblings from Noah's Hope Animal Rescue.
