Ashanti Allen joined the KNOP News 2 team in January 2024 as the Weekend Anchor/Reporter.
Ashanti joins us from KETV in Omaha, Nebraska where she worked as an editor and producer. She graduated from the University of Nebraska at Omaha in 2020 with a Bachelor of Science in Communication - Journalism and Media Communication.
At an early age, Ashanti watched the news with her father and dreamed of becoming a news anchor. She has a heart for the community and is excited to fulfill her dream by serving as an MMJ/ Anchor at KNOP News 2.
She is happy to call North Platte her new home! Ashanti is married to her loving husband, Corey, and together, they have one son.
When Ashanti isn't working, she spends time with her family, serving her church and community, traveling, and taking pictures.
