Bellevue Police looking for ‘armed and dangerous’ shooting suspect
BELLEVUE, Neb. (WOWT) - Bellevue Police are asking for the public’s help finding a man they suspect in a shooting Wednesday morning, calling him “armed and dangerous.”
BPD said that officers responding to a Family Dollar store near 25th Street and Chandler Road found a 29-year-old man at the scene who had been shot in the leg.
The man was taken to the hospital by ambulance, but the wound was not considered to be life-threatening, according to the BPD release.
Police said the suspected shooter is Di’Quarius Merritt, 26, of Bellevue, who witnesses said ran from the scene.

Merritt is believed to be armed with a handgun. Anyone who has information about his whereabouts is urged not to approach him and to call 911 immediately.
The shooting remains under investigation.
