6 First Alert Weather Days: Widespread frost and freeze tonight, beginning of this week
OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) - The warm pattern breaks early next week with a widespread frost and freeze expected Monday and Tuesday mornings, October 14th and 15th. We’ve made both days 6 First Alert Weather Days!

Plan to harvest your gardens this weekend ahead of the concern for cold weather. Exposed pipes and underground lines should be ok, so there is no rush to blow out sprinkler lines until temperatures begin to consistently dip into the upper 20s for several hours in the morning.
Some may dip below freezing Monday morning, the rest see a frost... by Tuesday a more widespread freeze is possible.
This is about on track for a first frost in the Omaha Metro... Eppley saw its first frost of the season on October 7th, but most of the Metro did not. The average first frost is October 6th for Omaha. The first freeze usually happens on October 14th.
