Omaha Police investigating pair of overnight homicides
OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) - Omaha Police are looking into a pair of overnight homicides.
The first incident happened just before 8 p.m. Friday at 9th Street and Carter Blvd. Officers were called to a report of a down party near a motorcycle. They arrived to find Bernard Leonard, 59, of Omaha, unresponsive with a gunshot wound.
Around 2 a.m. Saturday, OPD received another “person down” call in the area of 45th and Charles Streets. A man was found with a wound to his armpit; medics rushed him to Nebraska Medicine, where he died. The man’s identity is being withheld pending family notification.
