Police investigate shooting at west Omaha hotel
OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) - Authorities are asking for the public’s help in the investigation into a shooting that left one man injured late Wednesday.
Omaha Police responded to the Best Western Old Mill Inn off Interstate 680 near the Westroads Mall around 10 p.m. for a reported shooting. Officers located a victim with a gunshot wound to his leg.
The victim told police that he believed the shot came from the room above the one where he was staying, and that it occurred about 20 minutes before he called 911.
Officers searched the room in question but couldn’t find any evidence of a gunshot. The investigation remains ongoing.
