17-year-old in hospital after shooting in Council Bluffs

COUNCIL BLUFFS, Iowa (WOWT) - Police are investigating after a 17-year-old boy was shot Thursday night.
Council Bluffs Police responded at about 9:30 p.m. for a “shots fired” call near 3rd Avenue and South 26th Street.
After initial investigation, police report that a disturbance occurred. They say one person pulled out a gun and fired shots more than once.
Officials say the 17-year-old was shot in the chest and leg. He was taken to a hospital with non life-threatening injuries.
